An opportunity for a close-up look at equipment used by Tulsa law enforcement will be part of the Badges & Bars event Sept. 17. The annual Crime Commission fundraiser will be at the Tulsa Air & Space Museum.

Nonprofits awarded energy audit grants
Tulsa County awarded a dozen nonprofit agencies grants to audit energy usage and plan for greater energy efficiency. Funding for the program was provided by the federal Energy Efficiency & Conservation Block Grant.

University of Phoenix to expand Tulsa campus
The University of Phoenix has begun construction on new classrooms at its state-of-the-art Tulsa campus in the Eastgate Metroplex, adding 4,000 SF to accommodate more students and enhance student services.

Magellan closes acquisition of BP assets
Magellan Midstream Partners LP has completed its acquisition of 7.8 million barrels of crude oil storage and more than 100 miles of active petroleum pipelines from BP Pipelines (North America) Inc. for $289 million.

LaBarge reports record sales, earnings
LaBarge Inc., a provider of electronics manufacturing services, today reported record financial results for the fiscal 2010 fourth quarter and full year ended June 27. Fiscal 2010 fourth-quarter net sales grew 27 percent.

Clark Howard to inaugurate Tulsa Town Hall
Syndicated radio host Clark Howard will inaugurate the 76th season of Tulsa Town Hall on Sept. 10 at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center. Howard also is a well-known financial expert and appears on CNN Headline News.

Women of Distinction tickets available
